Competitive teams

This competitive program is offered in collaboration with Accès Escalade Montreal, an NPO that contributes to the advancement and development of climbing as a sport by using it for social purposes with youth.

The people registered for the season (September-May) commit to participate in climbing competitions of the “Coupe Québec d´escalade” circuit in difficulty, bouldering and speed climbing. As the circuit is governed by the FQME (Fédération Québécoise de la Montagne et de l’Escalade), they will obtain a Quebec ranking in their age category. Their objective will be participation in the Quebec championships, and for some, participation at a national and international level..

Our competitive teams are divided into three categories of different levels and ages.

Young people who have chosen the competitive option or who have been selected during a talent detection will be prepared to join competitive groups through our pre-competitive program. They work from September to May.

Talent detection session

A talent detection session allows young people interested in competing to participate in an evaluation session on three Olympic disciplines: difficulty, bouldering, and speed climbing. During this period, our qualified coaches will assess everyone’s skills and determine their level.

Depending on their skills, they will then join a pre-competitive or competitive group.

Next talent detection session to come!
